Inspiration: Raw Design Studio, Christmas By Colour

Thousands of people from around the world embraced the project and relished the opportunity to suggest their own colour and its personal meaning. Christmas by Colour continues to shine as a symbol of individuality in a season filled with clichés and mass consumerism

Inspiration: Pantone
http://www.pantone.co.uk/

The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a system shared world wide by the graphic arts industry.
The PANTONE Name is known worldwide as the standard language for accurate color communication, from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer, across a variety of industries. Pantone continues to develop color communication and inspirational tools, and aggressively adopts new digital technology to address the color needs of the creative community everywhere.

Proposal
London: The capital and largest city of the United Kingdom, on the Thames River in southeast England. Greater London consists of 32 boroughs surrounding the City of London, built on the site of a Roman outpost named Londinium. Its growth as an important trade centre dates from 886, under the rule of Alfred the Great. Since the Elizabethan period (1558-1603) London has dominated its country's political, economic, and cultural life. Population: 7,520,000.
Opposed to the dry definition above, this book is a collaborative exploration into the things that define London and shape its culture. Being graphic design communication students, we wanted to present London in a "graphic" way. The idea behind this book is to reduce the large, small and even strange things we associate with the capital into pure colour, creating a Pantone inspired swatch book of London.
We want to create a book to showcase the work we created specifically for this project. Everything in this book and the book itself will be designed by us. We want to explore printing and the most appropriate way of binding the book.
